Blessings and Balance:The Unexpected Challenge of Answered Prayers

For many of us in the United states of American we are breathing a much needed sigh of relief now that the 2024 Presidential election has been completed. Our lots were cast, and the clear winner was a man who many of us believe will work to help heal our land…with God’s help of course (2Chronicles 7:14). However, there are those who feel the need to gloat, jeer, and even taunt those who were on the losing side of this historic event. Can anyone blame them?

For many years now we have been under undue duress, and strain as believers, and non-believers alike. Believers have been attacked for their faith, their desire to protect their children from the downright evil policies of those ignorant, and defiant towards God. All the while protecting others for their unique beliefs. These past few years have tried the best of us. Navigating the the terrain has been dauntless to say the least. Small business having to shut down, farms under seige, homesteaders targeted for no actual reason other than to make them comply with socialist agendas, homeschoolers targeted, and forced to shut down. No, this is not conspiracy theories, but rather conspiracy realities. For many of us it felt as though we were so far in the weeds that it was a clear sign that Christ’s return was imminent. In fact, many of my posts have been centered around that very topic. We are in the end times, but I felt that things were looking pretty far advanced. Does that mean we were wrong? No, just that the timing is still a bit of an uncertainty. We seem to have managed to temporarily pull out of a tailspin simply by showing up in numbers never before seen to cast our lots for restoration of the land, and crying out to God.

So now that we are on this side of the equation, and the balanced has shifted do we lower ourselves to the level of petty gloating, and taunting? The short answer is…NO!

One of the most valuable lessons I have learned in my walk of faith has been to pray for the wisdom needed to handle the things I have prayed for. I found that it was easy to pray for something, receive it, but then try to understand why the very thing I prayed for began to seem more like a curse than a blessing. Our human condition is one in which we are arrogant to think we are capable of handling the underserved blessings of God. Yes I said, “underserved” blessings. We truly don’t deserve any of what we ask for, but our loving Father gives to us willingly because he’s loves us that much. That love then turns in to pretentious, spoiled behavior in which we ask without any regard to how to handle what we are asking for. If this sounds cruel, or malicious it is not the intent. My intent is to send a wake up call to everyone to have the humility to also include in your prayers for God to provide you with the wisdom to handle what you have asked for, and to thank him or providing it when he does.

So, now that we are on a new, hopeful, and resurrected path to freedom let’s not forget to ask for God’s help, and wisdom to keep what we so obviously prayed for. Let’s not forget to thank him for hearing our cries for help, and putting us on a path to heal our land. (2 Chronicle 7:14) Let’s let go of the bitterness, resentments, rage, anger, frustrations of the past, and move forward into forgiveness.

This is not to say there is not accountability coming for those who mocked the Lord, for those who spat in the face of religious freedoms, and those who shamed us. However, the accountability will come by God. Let’s not lose sight of who were are, and who we represent. We walk in the light of the most high God Almighty, and are saved by the precious blood of Jesus Christ!

CHRIST IS INDEED…LORD!

As always all my love in Christ Jesus,

Shalom,

Annie 🙂
